NORDIAG CE IVD LABELS ITS ARROW BUGS'n BEADS KIT
CE IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) labeling is a growth driver and increases the revenue per instrument sold and opens up for new instrument sales. CE marking enables sales to diagnostics laboratories and opens sale to several more customers , explains Mårten Wigstøl, CEO in NorDiag.
The CE IVD labeling of NorDiag's patented BUGS'n BEADSTM technology for the Arrow instrument comes after a successful completion of a validation study.
The Arrow BUGS'n BEADSTM kit is a multi sample preparation kit that can be applied for several organisms causing infections among others Sexually transmitted infections, Noro virus, MRSA and VRE. NorDiag is currently expanding its use of the sample preparation kit to also include Tuberculosis.
The advantage for the customers is that they can use the same kit for several applications. This simplifies the laboratory processes and increase ease of use. Multiple use of applications on the same instrument platform is a growth driver since it increases NorDiags reagent revenue per instrument as well as opens up for new instrument sales.
NorDiags desk top and low throughput instrument Arrow has the capacity up to 10.000 isolations per year. It has a very attractive price which enables many laboratories and hospitals to buy the instrument without a tender offering process.
