NORDIAG CE IVD LABELS ITS TWO ARROW BLOOD KITS
CE IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) labeling is a growth driver, because it opens up the large diagnostic laboratory market for both these kits. This in turn increases the revenue per instrument sold, and opens up for new instrument sales, explains Mårten Wigstøl, CEO in NorDiag.
The CE IVD labeling of NorDiag's Blood Kits for the Arrow instrument comes after a successful completion of a validation study.
The Arrow Blood kits are sample preparation kits that can be applied for HLA (transplantation diagnostics) and genetic testing among others inheritable diseases.
This is an important addition to our portfolio since it is a key element for successful sales of Arrows in the HLA market. The kit can be used with all DNA based tests used in this market and it is tailored and well proven with the Olerup SSP products that are sold by Nordiag's subsidiary Olerup International.
"NorDiag expects solid sales of Arrows and kits in the HLA market", Wigstøl comments.
NorDiags desk top and low throughput instrument Arrow has the capacity of up to 10 000 isolations per year. It has a very attractive price which enables many laboratories and hospitals to buy the instrument without going through a tender process.
